Job description for this position

The successful candidate will be expected to evaluate risk i-e; determine the events and external surroundings that can adversely affect the organization and its resources (facilities, technologies, etc.), the damage such events can cause and the controls needed to prevent or minimize the effects of potential loss. Expected to create risk assessment documents. Can conduct complete Business Impact Analysis (BIA) exercise. Developing and implementing business continuity and crisis management plans, maintaining and exercising plans. Verifying that the plan will prove effective by comparison with a suitable standard and reporting the results in a clear and concise manner.

Skills required for this position

  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and BIA standards and practices
  • Good communication skills including being a good listener
  • Willingness to listen to other points of view and to change their position if the information supports doing so
  • The ability to conduct themselves in a manner commensurate with a professional workplace

Suitable profile for this position

Network Security Administrator

Job description for this position

Install, configure, and maintain enterprise network systems and handle the troubleshooting of the enterprise environment as it relates to network and system security. This includes server hardware, software, access methods, security and policy administration. Represent the network group on project teams involving the network and system security of the enterprise. Develop, implement and enforce security methodology across server platforms including architecture, implementation, and management of network and system security and management. Conduct network and system security and vulnerability analysis and risk assessments. Identify potential network and system security gaps, and provide recommendations to network group. Use various intrusion detection platforms and programs to identify network attacks, intrusions, and security breaches. Analyze existing environment and recommend and implement enhanced security measures.

  • Knowledge of security standards, policies, procedures, adhering to industry standards, like; BS 17799
  • Backup technologies
