Elate IT Private Limited has signed an agreement with Computer Research Private Limited(CRPL) for development of Disaster Recovery Plan in compliance with world standard Business Continuity Management System(BCMS) BS 25999 for their application International Traffic Settlement System (ITSS) developed for Pakistan Telecom Authority(PTA). This project will involve designing and development of detailed Disaster Recovery Plan for ITSS Application along with team management, vendor management, incident management, support services and management of Service Level Agreements for future support of application.

Information About the Application and Project: In the Pakistani telecom market Convergence has resulted in the increase in the number of operators (GSM, LDI and LLO) and therefore an increase in the number of interconnection linkages between them. In order to handle the situation an “Interconnect Clearing House” (ICH) would be an ideal solution to administer the growing number of operators and the complex interconnect linkages between them. Interconnect Clearing House will definitely substitute the conventional interconnection system which is primarily based on “two-sided” interconnect agreements to make the interconnect exchanges flexible enough to handle various interconnection linkages as per the licensing needs.

In order to meet the challenges faced with the ever increasing number of interconnect links the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has decided in coordination with all LDI Operators to Establish an International Traffic Settlement System in Pakistan to identify, eliminate and prevent illegal termination / grey traffic. This system will monitor the Signaling Traffic of all LDI operators and will generate independent CDRs of the calls terminated in the national network. On the basis of the CDRS / Traffic Analysis Statistics produced by this system and the LDI Operators the PTA and the ICH will reconcile the data and identify both valid CDRs which will be certified and the invalid ones and also identify the offenders which are involved in illegally terminating calls.

Elate IT Pvt Ltd has recently participated in NEP-AL IT project. This Match Making event was arranged and sponsored by European Union to contribute to the development of EU-Asia business relations, enhancing internationalisation of SMEs in the ICT sector of the involved countries.

Total 160 SMEs were involved in this project, of which, 110 European and 50 Asian companies participated from Italy, Romania, Slovenia, Latvia, Nepal and Pakistan. These companies were selected on the basis of ethical criteria, corporate social responsibility, their performance and interest towards internationalisation.

The project was spanned over 15 month’s period, in which 3 phases were carried out – from selection of the companies to information and training to the SMEs and Asian partners, followed by match making event in Khatmandu – Nepal and then follow up activities.
